Maison — the French word for house — represents more than a place. To me, it symbolises a space where stories are born, emotions linger, and comfort quietly lives. A home not just for clothing, but for creativity, memories, and intention.

 

TÁKÁ, derived from the Hindi word for stitch, celebrates the artistry, precision, and delicate craftsmanship that hold every creation together. It is a tribute to Indian karigars — to the real hands, time, and skill behind each piece. Beyond its literal meaning, the name carries something deeply personal. TÁ from my name, Taneesh and KÁ from Kaur  effortlessly stitch a part of my own identity into the very heart of the brand.

 

MaisonTÁKÁ is a home for stories told through every stitch, thread, fabric, and silhouette a space where each piece holds a narrative waiting to be discovered.

The vision for this brand took shape while I was studying fashion in Milan, the fashion capital of the world. Living and learning there reshaped the way I understood luxury. Italian fashion taught me that true elegance lies in ease, restraint, and time  in slow summers, sunlit days by Lake Como, soft colours, and silhouettes that feel effortless yet deeply considered.

I wanted to bring that feeling home to merge the romance and global appeal of Italian fashion with the richness of Indian artistry, hand embroidery, and craftsmanship. Every MaisonTÁKÁ piece is made-to-order, created with patience and care, because I believe what is made slowly is felt deeply when worn.
